Honor Choir Scholarship Fund

The mission of the Diversity Initiatives Committee of the Maryland/DC chapter of ACDA is to foster diversity and inclusivity in our membership, ensembles, and repertoire through active engagement with underrepresented choral musicians and potential choral participants. One way the mission of the Diversity Initiatives Committee will be enacted is through the support of underrepresented singers participating in ACDA conference Honor Choirs. The MD/DC ACDA has created a Honor Choir Scholarship Fund to assist with the costs involved in participating in ACDA Chapter, Regional, and National Honor Choirs.

Honor Choir Scholarships will be awarded by lottery to any singer with financial need who has been accepted into an ACDA Honor Choir and applied for assistance by their teacher’s nomination. Awarded amounts include $100 for Voices United, $200 for ACDA Eastern, and $300 for ACDA National Conferences.
