Frank J. Van Atta, President-Elect

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Frank J. Van Atta is Director of Choral Music and Chapel Organist at the National Cathedral and St Albans Schools in Washington, DC. He concurrently serves as Director of Music at First Baptist Church of the City of Washington.
Van Atta earned a Bachelor's Degree in Organ Performance, Voice, and Choral Music Education from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Temple University. Choirs under his direction have performed across five continents and collaborated with groups such as the Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, The Crossing, and the Mendelssohn Choir of Philadelphia.
Frank has taught singers of all ages and presented at ACDA and NAfME conferences on the topics of singer engagement, inclusive repertoire, and musical literacy.
